I keep being reminded why I shouldn't take my own limited knowledge too seriously in predicting the stock market.
To me, it seems like the stock market should continue to rise as there have been encouraging signs in the economy.
However, the market has been falling a little lately and I don't know why.
Is it because institutional investors put a lot of money into the market near the bottom and now are taking money out of the market to realize some profits?
Is there a chance we are not coming out of this great recession? I know the unemployment figures are still terrible, but unemployment usually remains bad toward the end of recessions.
Is it related to some toxic assets that are still weighing down financial stocks?
I'm confused, why is the stock market stalling a bit?
